Lake County >> Multiple governing board and director positions are up for election on the Nov. 8 ballot including school and fire districts spots.
Yuba Community College has one vacancy with a four-year term as a trustee for Area 7, which includes Colusa, Glenn and Lake counties. Both Konocti and Middletown unified school districts have two vacancies available on their board of directors with a four-year term.
Offices of director for three Northshore Fire Protection District zones will be on the ballot as well. The Clearlake Oaks and Upper Lake zones have seats available with four-year terms. The position of director for the Lucerne Zone will be for two years to fill an unexpired term.
Redbud Health Care District will also hold elections for directors, with four-year terms open for zones 1, 3, 5 and Upper Lake.
The Hidden Valley Lake Community Service District has three vacancies with four-year terms open.
Official declaration of Candidacy forms for eligible candidates desiring to file for the elective offices enumerated above may be obtained from the Lake County Registrar of Voters office (263-2372), in room 209 of the Lake County Superior Courthouse , located at 255 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport, during regular business hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The filing period ends on Aug. 12 at 5 p.m.
