UKIAH >> The Ukiah Speedway offers a full racing card tonight with modifieds, Taco Bell bombers, jammers and T&T Towing jalopies all scheduled to compete.
Grandstands open at 3:30 p.m. and qualifying begins at 5 p.m. Gate admission is $12 for adults, $9 for senior citizens (60 and older) and students with a valid ID card, and $6 for children ages 5-11 and first responder with a valid ID card. Ukiah Speedway won’t get much of a break after tonight as racing events — both automobile and motorcycle — are scheduled each day of the annual Redwood Empire Fair beginning Thursday and running through Aug. 7. Visit www.redwoodempirefair.com for schedule information.
Racing action returns to the Ukiah Speedway on Aug. 27 when the North State Modified Series cars visit Ukiah a second time this season. Kelseyville’s Darrin Knight is the current points leader on the circuit. Joining the North State Modifieds will be the jammers, bombers and jalopies.
