UKIAH >> Pacific Internet, an independent Internet Service Provider in Ukiah, has acquired the subscriber base and assets of Clearlake Internet of Lower Lake. This is Pacific Internet’s first acquisition outside of Mendocino County, leading the way to future statewide expansions through the acquisition of additional telecom partnership agreements and coverage areas.
Clearlake Internet is a provider of high-speed internet and related services. Founded in July, 2009 and headquartered in Lower Lake. It offers an assortment of online services for consumer and business customers throughout Lake County. Services include DSL, dial-up, and web hosting, with superior quality connectivity and minimal drop-off.
Due to the volume of Windows 10 related technical support calls, owner and founder of Clearlake Internet, Kevin Curr (a Microsoft Certified Professional), made the decision to take on desktop support for PC and Macintosh systems as a full-time pursuit.
“Pacific Internet has been offering internet services in Northern California since 1993,” said Jim Persky, president of Pacific Internet, “and with the acquisition of Clearlake Internet, we now cover all of Lake County.”
Headquartered in Ukiah, Pacific Internet provides VDSL, ADSL2+, DSL, dial-up, web hosting, domain name registration, and email services, and the company looks forward to expanding to offer additional service options in the coming years. It was the first internet provider to provide local access to Mendocino County and the surrounding areas, and expects to continue to grow.
