LAKE COUNTY >> Hoberg’s Resort plans to commence debris cleanup in about two weeks, Lake County officials reported.
The announcement, which was given by Environmental Health Director Ray Ruminski at the Board of Supervisors’ regular meeting this week, said that the resort’s owners have contracted with Santa Rosa-based CSW land solutions to start the massive removal by Aug. 15. So far, they claimed to have tested the property and come up with a county-approved work plan.
“It would have been better if [the cleanup] started in March or April,” Ruminski said. “But this is what we have now and we’re moving forward.”
The environmental health director added that the target completion date is Oct. 15. For the moment, the concrete will be kept for archaeological purposes.
