Four karate students at Lake County Martial Arts in Lakeport returned from the Gold Mountain Invitational on July 23 in Grass Valley, a Golden State Karate Association-sponsored event, with a handful of trophies. From left to right, Gage Templeton finished first in sparring; Camila Morales placed second in forms and third in sparring; her brother, Ricardo Morales, was third in forms and third in sparring; and Hunter Melvin came in second in forms and third in sparring. Lake County Martial Arts offers training for students of all ages.
