
Clearlake Oaks >> An extensive investigation into a recent burglary in Lakeport led detectives to a home in Clearlake Oaks where they arrested one man in connection to the crime on Wednesday.
The suspect was identified as David Paul Sander, 50. Authorities were able to locate him with the assistance of video surveillance at the crime scene in the 60 block Soda Bay Road in Lakeport, Lt. Steve Brooks said in a media release.
An estimated $14,000 worth of property was stolen.
Lake County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Major Crimes detectives arrested Sander in the 12000 block of Widgeon Way in Clearlake Oaks.
Sander recently moved to Lake County from Alameda County, Brooks aid. Anyone who has had recent dealings with Sander related to buying or selling property is encouraged to contact the LCSO Major Crimes Detective Shamus Stafford at (707)262-4231.
Sander was booked at the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility and faces charges of burglary and grand theft. He remains in custody at the county jail on $115,000 bail.
