Deal with the homeless problem
As I attended both so called district 4 candidate debates the question of what to do with the homeless people roaming around Lakeport came up several times. The answer from most of the candidates was that more employment in Lake County would resolve it. This was nothing more than the standard PC answer, but not a realistic solution.
I would seriously challenge the last two remaining candidates to query some of these alleged homeless people by asking them are they long term residents of Lake County or just passing thru and are they truly looking for employment. If they are truly long term Lake County residents, then they truly need our help and should be directed to the proper agencies or churches for help.
I rarely see any alleged homeless individuals at Safeway with placards stating that they will work. When asked I am asked for money I always ask if they are willing to work. The standard reply is that they are disabled, but I am dismayed that they walked or drove there and can stand up and walk over to a car with their hand out.
I have even seen one of these alleged homeless persons get up at the end of the day and walk to their jacked up 4×4 SUV with 3 ft of lift and climb into it without any problems.
This is a slap in the face to the real disabled people who hold down jobs.
I seriously doubt if any light industry came to Lampson field or elsewhere in Lake County, that the homeless problem would go away as these candidates implied.
Recently we are learning that these alleged homeless people are actually committing crimes.
If the city of Lakeport is going to issue pan handler permits there should hopefully be some back ground checks done first, so law enforcement has the knowledge of who’s roaming the streets of Lakeport.

Doesn’t cut it
Seventy former law makers and staff have penned a letter to the RNC to divert funds from Donald Trump and do you want to know why? Because Trump is not spending 100s of millions of dollars to line their pockets, (i.e. follow the money, divert Trumps money into their pockets).
Hillary R Clinton makes a speech that has been made by the Dems since 1965 about the poor and is almost word for word Bill Clinton’s speech 25 years ago! When are you Dems going to wake up and see doing the same old thing since 1965 doesn’t work. It’s the definition of insanity and Saul Alinsky rules for radicals.
Do you really want to be another Venezuela? Nineteen trillion dollars spent on the war on poverty with the same results.
And by the way, how does Trump get 3 to 4 times as many supporters at rally’s as HRC does, and he is behind in the polls? Unique to say the least. Left wing press distortion?
The same things were said about Ronald Reagan almost 40 years ago that are being used against Trump today. An echo from the past that didn’t come true. Reince Priebus introducing Trump 8/16/16, proves the left wing press’s assumption of Trump is fiction.
And Shirley Howland, Trey Goudy asked James Comey, FBI Director, four times if HRC lied and all four times he said YES! Explain that to me because I am really getting sick and tired of politicians lying to me.
You must have missed that.
HRC said all rape victims should be believed, but Anita Broderick was vilified by the Clintons. How do you Dems explain that, Shirley?
Oh and Kevin, somebody else’s opinion doesn’t cut it. Chapter, verse and page number of your statement “Reagan was mentally incompetent for most of his presidency,” in Bill O’Reilly’s book, “Killing Reagan,” other than a memo that doesn’t exist. Distorting the truth doesn’t cut it with me and I have the book “Killing Reagan.”
Final word, black lives matter rally at Elvis Presley Mansion, give me a break, the left wing run amuck.

Point it out
Dear Mr. Nickel, I have been to YouTube and seen a lot of video of Hillary decrying the video and NOT relating it to the attack on the Benghazi complex. Yet you say that it is there. Please point out just one to me.
All I need to see is one. Just one. Please point it out.
So, on to the misconception. Hillary tells her family and the Libyan leaders that the attack is being carried out by a terrorist group. No motivation is given for the attack because she doesn’t know. At the time only the terrorists know. You must realize this is correct? Not even Trey Gowdy knows.
Have you read the Benghazi Committee report? It tells how the CIA, in the President Daily Brief, has a headline that misleads the President and everyone else that the attack occurred due to a protest. But, even when the notes that Hillary was supposed to use when making a statement saying that the murders were caused by the video she did not say it.
This is in the report by Trey Gowdy. She went off script because she didn’t believe there was a protest in Benghazi caused by the video. So please, Mr. Nickel, point out that one YouTube that tells a different tale.

End Labor Day Weekend Safely
Most Californians commonly end their summer traveling to prime sites of our picturesque state on Labor Day weekend.
I was thankful to have a job when I was 16 in 1992, but a drunken driver hit me head-on when I was driving home from work.
I was seriously hurt: A coma, multiple broken and dislocated bones, paralysis, and brain injuries. For seven months, I stayed in two hospitals and then therapy for 17 months. Today, I cannot drive and my hearing, talking and walking are not perfect.
It is vital to make all aware how wrong it is to drive drunk. Driving drunk can hurt you and the victim financially, physically and socially. I surely know. If drinking, please have a sober driver drive you.
With the upcoming holidays, do you want a date with your family and friends or a judge?
