Clearlake >> Superintendent of Konocti Unified School District Donna Becnel announced Thursday that classes will start back up at several schools closed due to the Clayton Fire.
Burns Valley Elementary, East Lake Elementary, Pomo Elementary and the Konocti Education Center (including the School for the Arts and Health Magnet School) will re-open Monday.
District staff are currently cleaning schools in the Lower Lake area in anticipation of reopening, according to a media release from Lake County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Steve Brooks. Schools in the Lower Lake area will reopen as soon as they can assure a safe learning environment for students and staff.
