Clearlake >> Habitat for Humanity held a groundbreaking for its 20th home Aug. 11. Staff and friends joined the Pantoja family as Father Bernard of Queen of Peace parish blessed the ground, the family and the crews who will work on bringing this family’s home to completion.

“Now more than ever, with the recent setbacks Habitat Lake County has experienced, community assistance is urgently needed,” Habitat for Humanity Lake County administrator Tammy Brigham.

The nonprofit’s office building was one of the structures destroyed in the Clayton Fire on Main Street Lower Lake.

If you are interested in helping this family build their home, in providing lunches for the work crews or donating to this and other ‘Habitat’ homes, contact Habitat for Humanity at (707) 994-1100. Someone will return your call as soon as possible.
