Lake County’s junior varsity and varsity football teams took their first steps of the season Friday evening during a pair scrimmages held on different ends of the county. The Lake County Scrimmage in Middletown featured North Central League I schools Clear Lake, Kelseyville, Lower Lake and Middletown while the Red and White Scrimmage in Upper Lake featured just the Cougars of the NCL III, who broke up into red and white teams.
