Lakeport >> One hundred women of Lakeport and communities all around Clear Lake will gather for the first 2016/17 Lakeport Women’s Civic Club (LWCC) meeting Friday at 11 a.m. at the Riviera Hills Country Club Restaurant.
The LWCC meets the first Friday of every month (except for July and August) to have lunch and hear from various speakers regarding current local affairs.
Women of the nonprofit organization have raised funds for community projects for 95 years. Causes that the LWCC has invested tens of thousands of dollars toward include Westside Community Park, victim-witness program, Lake County Pride Foundation, Friend’s of the Library and Veterans Honor Guard.
