LAKEPORT >> David Paul Sander Sr., 50, appeared at the Lake County Superior Courthouse in Lakeport, entering a plea of not guilty to all counts related to the theft of $14,000 in property. The defendant also denies the special allegations.
Sander is charged with Burglary and Grand Theft (with a value exceeding $400).
Lake County Sheriff’s Office detectives linked Sander to the theft from a home on Soda Bay Road in Lakeport. The Clearlake Oaks resident was identified with the help of video surveillance cameras located on the Soda Bay property.
Law enforcement officers arrested Sander at his home on Aug. 10.
Judge Stephen Hedstrom presided over the Plea Entry, while Deputy District Attorney John Langan was present in court as well.
Sander’s Defense Attorney, Thomas Quinn, requested this matter be set for hearing with a Master Calendar Call set for Sept. 9 at 8:15 a.m. in Department 3.
The Preliminary Hearing is set for Sept. 14 at 8:15 a.m. in a department to be announced, and the defendant is ordered to be present on all dates.
