Melania Ciapponi (right), winner of the 2016 Lake County Wine Adventure raffle, gets a little help from her husband, Stephen McDonald, loading her prize. The annual raffle benefits the Lake County Relay for Life, which this year received a check for $1,045 from the Lake County Wineries Association. Ciapponi happens to be a cancer survivor. This year marked the fifth time Ciapponi, an Oakland resident, took part in the Wine Adventure and her first raffle win.
