Recent Clear Lake High School graduate Cord Falkenberg was announced as the recipient of the Alexander Memorial scholarship at the FFA & 4-H Awards event at the Lake County Fair Sunday. Falkenberg is currently enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley with the intent to pursue a career in aerospace engineering. His involvement with the 4-H youth program as well as evidence of his leadership and community service all contributed to his selection as the recipient of the $500 award. – Contributed photo
