Fairfield >> The office of U.S. Rep. John Garamendi (D-Fairfield, Davis, Yuba City), will host a Service Academy Night at the Lower Lake High School (LLHS) Library Tuesday. One of three planned by the congressman’s office, the event is for students interested in applying to one of the nation’s academies: The Air Force Academy, Naval Academy, Merchant Marine Academy, Coast Guard Academy and the Military Academy at West Point.
Representatives from the different academies will be on hand to answer questions as well.
These are non-mandatory events that offer students and families the chance to learn more about the different service academies and the application process.
The Service Academy Night will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. LLHS is located at 9430 Lake St. in Lower Lake.
