Bike safety
I have been reading recently about awareness campaigns for child safety seats. However I see many lake county children still riding bikes without bike helmets. What’s the point of keeping children safe up to the point of were they start riding bikes, but then send them onto to the streets without bike helmets?
I realize that lake county law enforcement is doing its best with the recourses they have but maybe a few citations for bike helmet infractions occasionally would get the point across to parents.

Destroying America
I watched this morning as a group of Navy Volunteers came by Ernest Thompson’s house in Gardenia, California, just a few miles from the Battleship Iowa Museum.
The 98 year old WWII Veteran can no longer visit due to health reasons. The Volunteers decided to bring the ship to his house to honor him. They arrived and sang “Anchors Away” in the street in front of his home. He even stands and salutes throughout the whole song and as the Volunteers come up on his porch and greet him. Thompson said it was “one of the best days of his life.”
This man helped save America from the grip of Socialism! I sure wish somebody would interview that man and get his insight as to what has happened in the last 8 years to the USA.
My personal opinion is you Dems have flushed down the toilet every thing this man fought for. The lies that have come out of this Administration makes Richard Nixon look like a saint (i.e. We didn’t pay a ransom, oh we did pay a ransom.) Then we find out 2 days later after they had to pay cash because we couldn’t wire transfer money, this Administration wire transferred 99,999,999 dollars in 13 payments to Iran?
Why this amount? Want to bet this is another lie coming out of this Administration! If this was a Republican Administration, you Dems would be going nuts! And there would be 40+ Congressional investigations going on, BET ME! But, oh no, this Administration can do no wrong. What?
Double standard, you bet.
I’ve said it before and I will say it again, our WWII Vets are rolling over in their graves to see what is happening to America today! Progressive Liberalism and the Dem Party is destroying America as we used to know it! And apparently you on the left have not seen the latest and where Trey Goudy asked James Comey whether HRC lies. All 4 questions were answered HRC lied!!
HRC and the Clinton Foundation take in $100 of millions of dollars from Sharia countries that deny women’s rights and LGB rights? If Donald Trump did this he would be toast! Double standard again, you bet! Not to mention the $99,999,999 payment to the Iran’s who are sponsors of terror.
And Kevin Bracken couldn’t give me the chapter, verse, and page number in “Killing Reagan” because it doesn’t exist. Anybody? Does it exist, except the non-existent memo? And he didn’t read “Killing Reagan”, give me a break.
Kevin relies on the over 90 percent far left critics to reinforce his opinion. These people despise Fox News and probably Bill O’Reilly, so how can that be objective? Do you know there is not one conservative in the White House Press Corps? How objective can that be?
Bill O’Reilly has been incredibly successful because he speaks the truth which just infuriates the left, which doesn’t want an opposing point of view, just like Third World Countries like N. Korea, who slaughter their opponents’ with anti-aircraft weapons.
And to you on the left, how can you support a person that lies about a lie? And now another 15k pages of emails surface? How much more? How many more lies that are proven lies?
I almost didn’t submit this letter but that’s what you progressive Libs want, no opposite pointed view, just like in 3rd World Countries.

What overtime?
I read the article in the South County News. In the article per Lars Ewing, overtime is a contributing factor in increased costs of operation related to fire debris removal.
In my personal experience overtime has Never been a factor. I have been in line 45 minutes prior to closing. The short line does not move. No vehicles are allowed in. We just sit there. Then we are told “too late, go home.”
The price depends on the person at the window. It varies greatly. When did they work till closing time, let alone do any overtime?
