The Lake County Rocket Club is about to launch its fifth year. This exciting club meets weekly on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Taylor Observatory in Kelseyville. Membership is free and is open to any 4th through 8th grader in Lake County. Members learn about concepts of flight, aerodynamics, history of space travel and future careers in space and flight industries all while having fun building and launching rockets. This year the first Rocket Club meeting will be Wednesday, Sept. 21. Bill Bordisso, club leader, is planning some fun introductory activities for this meeting. Call Bordisso at 279-0923 to register.
