KELSEYVILLE >> They don’t come much easier than they did on Thursday evening.
Kelseyville, defending North Central League I champion, overwhelmed the visiting Willits Wolverines 25-9, 25-6 and 25-13 in varsity volleyball action at Kelseyville.
The Knights (2-0) figure to take a huge step up in competition on Tuesday when they host St. Helena, the only team that has beaten Kelseyville in league play the last three seasons.
“It’s a big jump,” Kelseyville coach Donelle McCallister said of facing the Saints, the only team besides the Knights to win the NCL I title the last three years.
Kelseyville also took care of business in the junior varsity match, winning 25-8, 25-11 behind seven aces and five assists from Malia Brown and seven assists from Paige Bour.
