Lake County >> The Lake County Sheriff’s Office recently wrapped up its Summer 2016 Citizens’ Academy.
Sixteen Lake County residents completed the 14-week course. It gave them an insight into the day-to-day operations within various areas of the sheriff’s office, as well as provided information regarding issues facing law enforcement and the judicial system today, Lt. Steve Brooks said in a media release.
“The Citizens’ Academy helps bring the communities of Lake County closer to their Sheriff’s Office with each graduating class,” the public information officer said.
The next academy is set to begin in the summer of 2017. If you are interested in attending, check the sheriff’s office website, www.lakesheirff.com or its Facebook page in spring of 2017 when applications will begin to be accepted.
