Lakeport >> A Special Sisters Saturday was held on Sept. 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lakeport and Ukiah, with efforts of making quilts and frozen meals to be taken to Lower Lake families who were recently displaced from the Clayton Fire. Dry goods and canned good were collected and delivered.
Classes were also provided on finances, what to do and take in case of a fire near your home, household cleaning methods, how to plan your time to fit your schedule and making time for your family.
A featured speaker was Colleen Comstock, who spoke about her personal experience from the Valley Fire just about the same time last year.
