Thank you
As you all know by now the County of Lake has been hit very hard by fires in the past year and so many people have been affected. It has been amazing to see how well our community comes together in times of need like this. Although the recovery process is long and arduous I know that the communities of Middletown and Lower Lake will come out stronger than ever thanks to the support of the community.
Working at Lower Lake Elementary School has given us a very up close and personal experience with this tragedy. Our friends, co-workers, students, and families that we serve have been hit hard. We have received a lot of support and would love to thank everyone for all that they have done.
Thank you to Middletown High School for the support, clothes, and advice after you were affected last year. To Cobb Elementary School for TK books and garden supplies. Coyote Valley Elementary School for backpacks and books. Thank you Mitch Tucker and Middletown Middle school for all the gift cards. And Middletown Unified for all that they were able to offer. A big thank you to the Lake County Office of Education for their donation of backpacks.
All the way from Sonoma County we want to thank Froggy 92.9 for their donation of school supplies that they collected and delivered from their listeners. The Santa Rosa Lioness Club for the wonderful donation of school supplies and the Berryessa Lioness club for their generous donation of gift cards. CAI Cares for coming from the bay area to bring supplies to the teachers in need. Christmas for Kids for a donation that will help provide gifts at Christmas for families in need. San Francisco Fire Department for the backpacks and sports equipment.
Thanks to Sheila Adams of Pacific Western Bank for Chevron Gift Cards. Mendo Lake Credit Union for their donation of school supplies. A huge thank you to Redwood Credit Union for their gift card donations to the families of those that lost their homes.
We also want to thank Jim Adams and Roy Morgan Co. for their gift card donation. Carl Giovannoni for his cash donation. A huge thank you to Rob Brown for providing a shopping spree at Walmart for the kids that lost everything. To Brittney Fiske for making the tumblers in which the proceeds went to our PTO. Jessica Milano for making awesome shirts and giving the proceeds to PTO. For stepping up two years in a row we want to thank Sarah Fuchs and Charmaine Weldon for everything you have done. LLHS Cheer team for the backpacks.
Lastly a huge thank you to the great staff here at Lower Lake Elementary School that got the school up and ready so that students could start quickly. Your work getting the students back in school and giving them a normal routine has been amazing. A thank you to all of those that donated anonymously and those that will continue to support us as we rebuild.

Taxpayers Windfall?
Do you, the taxpayers of Lake County, believe we have a “financial win” because Martin Scheel is beginning payments on a debt he has owed since 2011 when his crane fell into Clear Lake. Contrary to Mr. Scheel’s belief that the incident created no safety concerns or negative environmental impacts the County felt otherwise and paid for its removal. For reasons unknown, the county never billed him for the abatement of the crane and he never came forward to address it.
Five years later, with his run for District 4 Supervisor, it became an issue. The County sent him a bill . The terms of the debt of $55906.07 were monthly payments over 10 years at 1.52 percent interest. Up until this year Mr. Scheel basically had an interest free loan compliments of us, the taxpayers. Pretty good deal, don’t you think?
So how is this a “financial win” for the citizens of Lake County? Am I missing something in this story?

Who is lying?
I was reading a document from Public Policy Polling issued in May of this year showing that 43 percent of voters think the unemployment rate has increased under Obama, and 32 percent think the stock market has gone down during this time as well. Both of these thoughts are false, “but Republicans claim by a 64/27 spread that unemployment has increased and by a 57/27 spread that the stock market has gone down” (quote from the document). Are all of these Republicans lying?
The White House Press Corps is made up of the White House Correspondents. So when Mac says that there are no conservatives in the White House Press Corps (RB 9-10) is he lying? T
rey Gowdy went on at length, after questioning James Comey, about how hard it is to prove someone is lying in a court of law. And this bar should be high. Otherwise, when Mac says, “… the FBI conducts criminal investigations, period!” (RB 2-12) I would have to say he was lying rather than being misinformed. And, from his current letter, it appears that he thinks we were at war with Russia during WWII? Mac? Maybe we shouldn’t have sent them military supplies?
But, I appear to be making progress. Mac admits that some of my sources aren’t far-left liberals with mental dysfunction. He also didn’t mention George P. Shultz. I could also quote the four Reagan biographers whom wrote a letter stating pretty much the same thing as Shultz. But, as I state at the start of this letter, some people will believe falsehoods even when presented with contradicting evidence.
As a final note, if you are refering to Ethan Couch, I found this headline on FOX4news.com, “Affluenza teen Ethan Couch gets 2 years in jail.”
