Middletown >> Candidates campaigning to fill two openings on the Middletown Unified School District’s school board in the Nov. 8 elections will speak to the Middletown Luncheon Club on Wednesday. Guests will get a chance to meet the candidates and ask questions.
Lunch will be served by staff at noon at the Middletown Senior Center, located 21256 Washington St. The program will end promptly at 1 p.m. For $5 per person, the menu will be chicken Parmesan, spinach salad and an orange wedge.
Reservations are required as space is limited. If you make a reservation and then find you cannot attend, call the senior center to cancel so someone else may attend in your place. To make a reservation, call 987-3113 or email middletownluncheonclub@gmail.com before 6 p.m. Tuesday. For reservations or cancellations after Tuesday evening, call the Middletown Senior Center directly, 987-3113.
The October Luncheon Club will also be a candidates forum — this time for District 1 supervisor. Monica Rosenthal and Moke Simon will be at the Middletown Senior Center from noon to 1 on Oct. 19. To make a reservation for that lunch now, you may. Specify “supervisor candidates lunch” on your reservation.
