Lake County >> Community socials, featuring free nutritious meals and activities for children, are scheduled for the last two Mondays in September from 6 to 8 p.m.
On Friday, the Middletown Methodist Church, at 15833 Armstrong St. in Middletown, will host this event. Then on Sept. 30, Cobb Elementary School, at 15895 Highway 175 in Cobb, will host the event in the multi-use room.
This program is presented by Lake Family Resource Center. Director Jennifer Dodd said, “The ‘socials’ are growing.” Attendance continues to increase.
Also at these events, Tony Pierucci, director of Lake County Museums, will be on hand to administer the Lake County Fires Oral History Project in which he’ll offer to interview fire survivors and record their stories for posterity.
All are welcome to these events which are funded by Lake County Rising and Lake Area Rotary Clubs.
