Kelseyville >> Martha Rose, frequent winner of and coordinator for this years’ dessert contest, is planning a pear pie eating contest Kelseyville Pear Festival.
The pie eating contest will take place at 11:45 a.m. until noon on Saturday, just outside the Pear Pavilion on Main Street in Kelseyville.
The inaugural event will feature 12 local dignitaries, business and service organization members as the contestants. Each contestant will select a local charity of their choice with the winner donating their $100 prize money to that charity.
