LAKEPORT >> David Paul Sander, Sr., 50, who is no longer in custody, appeared at the Lake County Superior Courthouse in Lakeport, waiving his right to a preliminary hearing.
Sander is charged with Burglary and Grand Theft with a value exceeding $400.
Lake County Sheriff’s Office detectives linked Sander to the theft from a home on Soda Bay Road in Lakeport. Sander, a Clearlake Oaks resident, was identified with the help of video surveillance camera located on the Soda Bay property.
The counts relate to an alleged theft of $14,000 in property. Law enforcement officers arrested Sander at his home on August 10.
Judge Stephen Hedstrom presided over the scheduled Preliminary Examination with both Deputy District Attorney John Langan and Defense Attorney Thomas Quinn present in court as well.
This matter has been set for an Arraignment on an Information on Oct. 25 at 8:15 a.m. in Department Four. The defendant is ordered to be present
