Clearlake >> The Democratic Party of Lake County will hold the 23rd annual Democratic Legislator’s BBQ on Oct. 8 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Highlands Senior Service Center.
Honored speakers are congressmen Mike Thompson and John Garamendi. Keynote speakers are Board of Equalization member and candidate for California State Treasurer Fiona Ma and California Democratic Party Vice Chair and Los Angeles County Democratic Party Chair Eric Bauman.
Leading the ceremonies will be Monica Rosenthal, candidate for Lake County Board of Supervisors, and Joey Luiz, candidate for Clearlake City Council.
The barbecue will include tri-tip, side dishes, homemade desserts and Lake County wine. Catering will be provided by Chatterbox Catering of Clearlake. Andre Williams will provide the music. There will also be gifts and goods from local businesses in the silent auction.
Tickets cost $25 per person for seniors, 55 and older, $35 for general admission and $20 for students. Children younger than 5 may attend for free.
