LAKEPORT >> Bradley Michael Thorstenson did not contest a charge of entering a closed disaster area. Judge Stephen Hedstrom ordered him to serve 10 days in jail with no credit for time served.
Thorstenson was arrested in August for being in an evacuated area during the Clayton Fire. He was also on active felony probation for a prior burglary charge, which he pled to and was convicted on May 12, 2014. He was charged with Attempting to Commit a Crime, Burglary, Entering Closed Disaster Area and Violation of Probation (Prior Burglary Charge).
During a recent appearance with Defense Attorney Thomas Quinn at the Lake County Superior Courthouse in Lakeport, the court dismissed two counts pursuant to the negotiated disposition, Thorstenson entering plea of no contest to count three.
In addition to jail time, Judge Hedstrom ordered Thorstenson to pay a fine, assessments and fees in the amount of $220.
The defendant was taken to complete the jail term imposed in this case. He was discharged from the custody of the prior Violation of Probation case.
