Chic le Chef is a 40 seat restaurant in Hidden Valley Lake that serves casual but eclectic fare along with gourmet daily additions. Recently they have added local beers and wines to their offerings. Starting Saturday, Oct. 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the restaurant will offer a 3-course prix fixe menu paired with Fults Family wines as the first showcased winery in a dinner series.

Guests can enjoy each course with a glass of Fults Family wine, chosen especially to go with the dish prepared. The 3-course meal along with the wine varietal paired with each dish will cost $42 for Fults Family Vineyard wine club members and $49 for the general public.

The wine pairing menus will change each week and after the initial launching on Saturday will be available on both Friday and Saturday Nights. The menus can be viewed at www.chiclechef.com or call the restaurant at 707-987-9664 for information. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Chic le Chef will feature a different local winery each month.

“Restaurant Owner, Mario Monroy and I have wanted to pair local wines together with our cuisine at our restaurant for a long time now. Having our dream realized when there has been so much more recognition in Lake County’s ability to create wonderful wines, makes it even more special” said restaurant general manager, Julie Hoskins.

Chic le Chef has worked with the local wine industry for the past decade pairing special culinary dishes with local wine. The effort it takes to create special dish and wine combinations are worth the end result of having a memorable meal to present to guests. The wines and wineries of Lake County have evolved much over the last ten years and along with it, consumer’s palates.

The chefs at Chic le Chef find it exciting to have the opportunity to work with clients who have developed a more sophisticated palate and an expanded appreciation for the wines of Lake County.
