KELSEYVILLE >> It didn’t take long for Victor Cacho and the Kelseyville Knights to establish their presence against the Clear Lake Cardinals on Tuesday afternoon.

“Less than a minute,” Kelseyville coach Eduardo Ledesma.

Ledesma was referring to the amount of time it took Cacho to score his first goal — which also was the first goal of the game — as the undefeated Knights completed the first half of their North Central League I boys’ soccer schedule with a 9-0 victory at Kelseyville High School.

Kelseyville makes the league turn at 6-0-1 and the two-time defending league champions appear to be in good if not great shape of making it three titles in a row.

Cacho finished with two goals and three assists. Two of his teammates also had multiple-goal games. Sergio Arias recorded a hat trick (three goals) while Jesus Covarrubias added two goals.

Kelseyville led 6-0 after one half and continued to add to that lead with its reserves playing most of the second half.
