Middletown >> The latest quilt block to join the Lake County Quilt Trail (LCQT) is “Fire Sirens.” It has been installed on the Fire Siren Thrift Store building, located on Highway 175 next door to the fire station in Middletown. The store is run by Fire Siren volunteers.

This organization has been in existence for 31 years. All proceeds from the thrift store go toward lifesaving equipment for all of the south Lake County fire engines and ambulances.

The LCQT is an agricultural and tourism project designed to promote community pride. The 4-by-4-foot quilt block was drawn and painted by the Lake LCQT team, a group of volunteer quilters, graphic artists, painters, writers, carpenters and a videographer.

For more information about the LCQT visit lakecountyquilttrail.com find it on Facebook.
