Monthly meeting
The Lake County Democratic Central Committee will hold its regular monthly business meeting Thursday at the local Democratic Campaign Headquarters.
The agenda for the meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m., includes reports from representatives for congressmen Mike Thompson and John Garamendi; Assemblyman Bill Dodd; and state Sen. Mike McGuire, as well as reports from the representative of the Lake County Democratic Club.
Meetings are open to the public and committee membership is open to all registered Democrats.
The Lake County Democratic Campaign Headquarters are located 390 N. Main St. in Lakeport.
Lake County Democrats Legislator’s Barbecue
The 23rd annual event will be held Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Highlands Senior Service Center.
Scheduled keynote speakers are Fiona Ma, Board of Equalization member, and Eric Bauman, California Democratic Party vice chair. Additional speakers include congressmen Mike Thompson and John Garamendi.
Joey Luiz, candidate for Clearlake City Council, will be the master of ceremonies.
Tickets cost $25 per person for seniors, 55 and older, $35 for general admission and $20 for students. Children younger than 5 may attend for free. Open house
An open house for presidential debates will take place Sunday and Oct. 19 at the Lake County Democratic Campaign Headquarters.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the debate starting at 6 p.m.
The headquarters are located at 390 N. Main St. in Lakeport.
