Middletown >> Friends of Middletown Library will kick off a children’s book fundraiser on Oct. 15, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the community room of the library. Refreshments will be served.
The goal is to raise $10,000 by Dec. 31 to purchase children’s books and young adult books, DVD’s and audio books. “Friends” will match dollar for dollar up to $5,000.
The monthly mini book sale will take place in the library hallway at the same time. There will be hardcover, paperback and special price books for sale. Prices range from $1 for hardcover and .50 for paperback. All proceeds are for the purchase of new books and supplies for the library, located at 21256 Washington St. in Middletown.
