On Oct. 15, KPFZ, 88.1 FM presents an evening of food, music and dancing at their annual Harvest Fund Raiser, Blues & BBQ.
The event begins at 5 p.m. with a dinner of barbecued ribs, chicken and all the fixings followed by an evening of music featuring blues legends Levi Lloyd and Wendy DeWitt along with Lake County’s Without A Net. The event will be held at the Big Valley Grange, 1510 Big Valley Road in Lakeport.
Tickets are available at the radio station, 263-3460, Watershed Books in Lakeport and at the door.
Santa Rosa blues veteran Levi Lloyd is a master blues guitarist and vocalist who has played with national greats including BB King and John Lee Hooker and has toured worldwide with Joe Louis Walker.
Wendy DeWitt, of Queens of Boogie Woogie fame, is a vocalist and pianist who will delight blues and boogie woogie lovers with her earthy, soul-fueled vocals.
Without A Net, a favorite KPFZ Lake County band, will add a local sound to put you in a dancing mood.
KPFZ, Lake County Community Radio, is an all-volunteer non-profit entity funded entirely by donations, membership dues, underwriting fees and fund raising events like the Blues & BBQ event. The radio station provides music and talk radio programs in a commercial-free format.
