On Tuesday, November 1, at noon Mendocino College Lake Center will host an information session on Sonoma State University’s Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies Ukiah program. Sandra Harrison coordinator of the program will present an overview and be available for questions and answers.
The program is open to transfer students from Mendocino and Lake Counties and allows students with 60 transferable units to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree through evening and weekend in-person classes held at Mendocino College’s Ukiah campus.
According to Sonoma State, The Liberal Studies Ukiah program offers a wide variety of courses from the social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences while providing a flexible major through which students may also take courses in other areas of interest. Like more traditional liberal arts majors, the Liberal Studies Ukiah major is excellent preparation for students interested in a career in teaching or counseling, the legal profession, or business as well as graduate work in the social sciences and the humanities.
The presentation will be held at the Lake Center, 2565 Parallel Drive, Lakeport, and is open to the general public as well all Mendocino College students.
