Lucerne >> Eight $1,000 scholarships were recently awarded to students currently attending Marymount California University (MCU), Lakeside Campus.
Scholarship recipients live in both Lake and Mendocino counties, and are working to complete their bachelors’ degrees at the Lucerne university.
The Friends of MCU Lakeside, which granted the scholarships, is a local group formed to raise funds to support Lakeside students, and to present the Distinguished Speaker Series with other sponsors. The series is open to the public and offered during the fall and spring semesters.
