BOONVILLE >> Katlyn Minnis scored in the second half to pull Upper Lake into a 1-1 tie, but the Anderson Valley Panthers came back to beat the Cougars 2-1 in North Central League II girls soccer action on Wednesday afternoon in Boonville.
Upper Lake (2-8-1 league, 3-11-1 overall) beat Anderson Valley 3-0 earlier this season at Upper Lake.
“We had 16 shots on goal but we missed badly on a lot of them … over the top or we just shanked them off to the side,” Upper Lake coach Mandy Robbins said.
The Cougars also were without starting keeper Jazlyn Bonilla for a second straight game because of illness.
“Not having her makes a big difference,” Robbins said.
Stephanie Macias assisted on Minnis’ goal.
