From 6 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, Halloween Blues & Spirits will be held at the Northshore Community Center, 3985 Country Club Dr. off 10th in Lucerne. This will be a Halloween party open to all ages with contests and prizes, a raffle for wine or beer, and a silent auction with gift certificates for massage and food, wine, crafts and items suitable for gift giving. A local artist has also donated a beautiful stained glass Phoenix Rising for the auction.
Starting at 6:30 p.m., The Swinging Chads will offer up some well loved classic rock and blues as well as originals. At 8:30 p.m., Johnny Tsunami & The Hurricanes will turn up the volume with their high octane rock ‘n blues. Ticket price is $10, $5 for 12 and under and includes free juice, snacks, cookies and candy. A buffet dinner will be sold for $5 and will include vegan options. You’ll also be able to purchase locally made wine & craft beer.
Halloween Blues & Spirits is produced by Spotlight On Productions in partnership with The Time Bank of Thrive Lake County as a benefit for Hope City to rebuild homes lost in the Clayton and Valley fires. Hope City is a disaster relief agency based in Elkhart, Indiana that came to Lake County following the Valley Fire to rebuild homes. Their local fiscal agent is NCO (North Coast Opportunities) and they are a member of Team Lake County. Hope City builds homes with an all volunteer base from across the country. Proceeds will be used to purchase building supplies from the community.
