KELSEYVILLE >> Six players scored one touchdown apiece on Friday as the Kelseyville High School junior varsity football team pounded the St. Vincent Mustangs 38-12 in North Central League I action at Kelseyville.

The win keeps Kelseyville (6-0 league, 7-1 overall) in a virtual tie with Fort Bragg (7-0) atop the league standings. The Knights travels to Willits on Friday before returning home Nov. 4 to play Fort Bragg in what is shaping up to be a winner-take-all finale. The Timberwolves have a bye this week.

“Fort Bragg is a legit team,” Kelseyville coach Jeremy Linnell said. “They’re very good. It should be one heck of a game.”

The Knights emptied their bench against St. Vincent and even had a few regulars playing out of position such as left tackle Javante Gregoire, who carried the ball six times for 57 yards with a touchdown.

“It’s something he’s always wanted to do,” Linnell said.

Other rushing scores went to Adrian Villalobos, whose only carry of the game resulted in a 47-yard touchdown; Dylan McAdon, who carried the ball eight times for 57 yards; and lineman Jado Bonson, who recovered a teammate’s fumble in the end zone.

Lukaz Molinero caught a 4-yard touchdown pass and R.H. Hess returned an interception for a touchdown.

On defense, Molinero had six unassisted tackles, two assists, three sacks and caused a fumble. McAdon came up with two sacks of his own and Garrett Davidson recovered a pair of fumbles.
