Vote for the Supreme Court

A very common position goes something like this: I don’t respect Hillary and her record but I just can’t vote for Trump, he is not presidential (or something to that effect). This election is critical and if it helps, ignore the candidates and vote for the supreme court. Actually, Trump (the press hasn’t exhausted all the creative groping distractions so little has been said about this) has assembled a team of legal and Constitutional scholars and has already proposed some very good court appointments that have likely acceptance on both sides of the aisle. Hillary has made public her desire to appoint Barrack Hussein Obama to the Supreme Court. These appointments will be with us (either supporting or tearing down our Constitution) for decades. Please vote to save our Republic.

If the Supreme Court is not reason enough, vote for real change. Both the Democratic and Republican parties have morphed into one big establishment that is staffed and run by career politicians that bow to donors, lobbyists, large international banking interests, corporate deals, etc. etc. Note that representing the people fell off of their list long ago. Trump will not solve all of this of course, but he will break up a lot of this corruption and put our country on a better course. That is why the Democrats (and their media) and the Republicans are all against him. Don’t be swayed by the propaganda, think about it and vote for Trump.

Who is lying?

The woman that says Trump groped her in first class flight said there were no arm rests? Retired stewardess’s say the arm rests in first class do not fold up? Now we have a witness that says it never happened. Who’s lying, the accuser or many stewardess’ and an eyewitness?

During a Miss Teen Contest Trump was accused of walking in while some girls were in a state of undress? Five girls say it happened, eleven girls state it didn’t happen that way because the Chaperone told them to cover up before Trump entered with his wife. Who’s lying? The lady that is Represented by Gloria Alred praised Trump for 10 years and got relatives to vote Trump, but soured on him after he would not come to her restaurant after an invitation she wrote to him according to a cousin of hers.

Mitt Romney was accused of denying health coverage to a former worker who’s wife died of cancer, a lie because it never happened that way.

Harry Reid was asked years later about his comment on the Senate Floor that “Mitt Romney hadn’t paid taxes in 12 years”. He told the reporter, “yeah, I made it up but we won didn’t we? To stand on the Senate Floor and lie and gets away with it, is beyond deplorable

Remember the NY Times saying 6 women said Trump was a bad boss but 2 days later the 6 women said the Times distorted their story that Trump was a wonderful boss? Who’s lying? During the McCain Pres run, the NY Times said he had an affair. McCain sued and it was settled out of court years later with the NY Times saying, well, maybe it didn’t happen? That’s what I call a slime ball! And somebody never to do business with or be associated with ever again. Again who’s lying?

Just like the typewriter font on the George Bush letter. That got Dan Rather fired.

Then we find out from the last Wikileaks document dump how the lame stream media is nothing more than an arm of the Democrat party, not true journalism. The Dem Party has morphed into something that is anti-America. So welcome to the Clinton Scorched Earth Policy. And throw out the constitution and the American Public and the hell with you! You are deplorable!

And now we find out FBI Agents involved in the HRC investigation are fed up with the double standard and cover up in this investigation, saying she should be prosecuted. You on the left have thrown reason down the toilet over party politics. If HRC had a “R” behind her name their would not be a chance in hell I would vote for her! (i.e. Richard Nixon) Good riddance to bad rubbish. Richard Nixon and HRC represent what is wrong with American Politics today, corruption to the core. This has tainted the Justice System in this Country to unbelievable levels.

HRC and the Dem Party says me and 50% of Americans are deplorable? To HRC and you Dems, go straight to hell, do not pass go, do not collect $200 and you don’t get a get out of jail free card. In HRC’s court ordered deposition (under oath) to Judicial Watch’s 25 questions, she answered 21 times “she couldn’t remember.” If she can’t remember she’s unfit to be President. If she is lying she’s unfit to be President. So what is it? UNFIT!

Short note: Wednesday, while I was out at our Veggie Stand/Pumpkin Patch, out of the clear blue sky, I had the distinct pleasure of Sheriff Brain Martin stopping by, what an absolutely fine gentleman. He is a great asset to Lake County.

Voting for Bennett

Every once in a while, a unique individual comes along that represents the qualities that many of us look for to represent our City. Nick Bennett has shown many times over, that he is one of these unique individuals.

I met Nick in 1996 while I was employed with the City of Clearlake when he joined the Clearlake Police Department. I grew to know Nick professionally over the years. He has clearly demonstrated that he always puts Community first, working to improve the quality of life for our Community and its residents.

Nick is a man of high principles and integrity. His judgement and his word are respected. He was recently appointed to the Clearlake City Council in May, 2016 due to the respect he has earned.

Nick has always believed that the heart of the Community is the people within. He has continuously recognized the needs of our seniors and our youth. He takes the time to listen.

One of Nick’s many strong attributes is public safety. Throughout his law enforcement career, he has worked tirelessly to help keep his communities safe. During his years with the Clearlake Police Department, he helped raise the bar for public safety. We are better today for Nick’s contributions.

The Lake County Association of Realtors has enthusiastically endorsed Nick as they believe in his commitment to move Clearlake forward on the fast track with fresh ideas. Time will not be wasted, as he has proven many times in the past that he gets the job done. He is committed to creating a safe environment for growth within our Community.

The best predictor of future performance is past performance. Nick continues to demonstrate this in all that he does.

By voting to retain Nick Bennett on the Clearlake City Council, you will be doing your part to promote a healthy City. You will have the opportunity to observe that Nick embodies the genuineness of leadership that reflects the best of Clearlake.

Please join me in voting Nick Bennett for Clearlake City Council.

Rosenthal for board

I respect Moke and the job he does as council tribal chair of the Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians. However, did you know that if elected as the District 1 Supervisor, he will be setting ordinances for all of us in Lake County that he and his tribe, as members of a sovereign nation, do not have to follow? That concerns me.

Monica Rosenthal is, fortunately, another strong candidate running for District 1 Supervisor. She knows county government and the people who run it and she has a history of bringing people together to make the process work. Most importantly, she wants to preserve what we value in our beautiful county while raising our standard of living through responsible economic development.

Please join me not just in voting for Monica, but in getting to know her and helping others to know her. It is so important for us to carefully choose our county representatives. Feel free to contact me with any questions or go to monicaforsupervisor.com for more information.

No Dollar General

Yep, Dollar General is at it again. This out of state corporation that builds stores across the USA in mostly poorer areas, now wants to build another oversized store in the beautiful residential and wildlife area of Clear Lake Riviera. They already have 2 stores in Lake County, have approval for one in Middletown (despite citizen opposition) and are looking closely at another Kelseyville site on the corner of Live Oak and Hwy 29. (Apparently, they want a lot of stores in one area because it is easier for them to bring in their big trucks to supply their stores.)

I agree with Norm Winters, a longtime Kelseyville resident whose letter to the editor was published last week. We don’t need or want a store that peddles cheap merchandise and unhealthy foods in Clear Lake Riviera. Local opposition to this is strong for a variety of reasons; hopefully, the planning commission will take this into account when making their decision.

I will take this a step further and state that I don’t believe we need this kind of economic “progress” anywhere in Lake County. More low wage jobs for our citizens? More ugly stores that send profits out of state? Threats of lawsuits when they don’t get their way? No thanks. For more information about this predatory corporation, do a Google search and decide if this is the kind of business you want to see more of in beautiful Lake County.
