Really lame
“None of the lame stream networks have ever interviewed the Clinton accusers of rape” Mac McKay (RB 10-27). When this news surfaced many ‘lame stream’ reporters tweeted that they had sent several requests to these women requesting interviews, only to get rebuffed or ignored. So, while this statement is true, it is very disingenuous.
I suspect it is a plot to use this as a hammer on Clinton. Refuse interviews so they can say that the ‘lame stream’ doesn’t interview them.
Clinton called half of Trump followers deplorable. As the percent of eligible voters favoring him was 40 then Clinton only called 20 percent of voters deplorable. Quite an exaggeration on Mac’s part to say, “HRC … says me and 50 percent of Americans are deplorable”. If you believe that most illegal Mexican immigrants are rapists, murders or drug runners, when the facts shows this to be false, then you are deplorable. If you believe Trump was right to disrespect the Gold Star parents, then your are deplorable.
Trump probably wants to torture Muslim immigrants as part of his ‘extreme vetting’.
I wonder how many of the 2 million dead people registered will vote. Many studies have shown that dead people are incapable of voting. I have read that federal sources say the Washington State mall shooter is a naturalized citizen (OPB) or a non-citizen permanent resident (Breitbart) or an illegal immigrant (Newsmax). He must be all three.
It still amazes me that so many people believe that voting fraud is rampant when there is no proof.
How is it possible that Dan Rather was fired when he is part of the ‘lame stream’ media, and as we know they control the press and protect their own? I suspect this mention was a mistake for it shows that the media may not be so lame.
And while we are discussing lame, how many people have read the Judicial Watch’s 25 questions. I did and see that most of them contain at least 3 parts and up to 7. For example question 20 asks if HRC considered having the State Dept review her e-mails, if so why didn’t she, if not, why not. Some ask for details on meetings (who was there, what was decided, etc.). If you can remember details like this after 7 years, good for you.
A final note. If not being able to remember or lying disqualifies one from being president, what of a person whom does it three times as often?

No on Measure Y
Sue Burton wrote a letter supporting Konocti’s Measure Y which appeared in the Oct. 26 Record Bee. While I do believe that Mrs. Burton has every right to express her opinion I think she should have let the public know that she is a Konocti School Board Member and therefore has some stake in the outcome of the election and is not just writing as an average citizen.
If you read the list of projects for Measure Y, it is impressive. As well it should be for a $29.6 million price tag. But I am reminded of another list which came from the list of projects from Measure G in 2004 and sounds so familiar: leaking roofs, technology infrastructure, student safety, caulking windows. Mrs. Burton says that “the District completed all the projects promised to voters in 2004.” But roofs are still leaking, student safety is still an issue, and windows still need caulking and I am still paying my yearly Measure G bond fees, as we all are, and will, until the year 2032.
So what’s wrong with this picture?
I will say it again: the Konocti School District is not well managed and does not deserve the support of this community until it gets its own house in order. No on Measure Y.

The Medium is the Message
We are inundated, indoctrinated, inoculated, and manipulated with cultural conditioning agents delivered by a consolidated, homogenized, pasteurized, made fit for our consumption media embedded with messages delivered by private interests, propagandists, perception propagators, pundits, proponents, puppeteers, marketeers, movie makers, music makers, thought shapers, think tanks, fear mongers, and perhaps worst of all, sabotaged even by ourselves when undermined by our own programming to where our most basic of every day reasoning is affected in such a way that we become incapable of independent original thought and critical thinking.
Look folks; the apparatus is in place and there’s no ROI in it for those who control just about everything, for you to think for yourself. The hard working, highly motivated conditioning agents that toil as you sleep (and they count on you sleeping) cook up this mucky broth from which we drink and from which we draw most of our decisions so it’s no small wonder why we find ourselves where we are, in quicksand and like quicksand, the more we fight, the more we wriggle, the harder we struggle, the deeper we sink until we’re up to our necks, desperate, gasping, trusting any hand that promises to pull us out. And then without fail and always on cue, in comes the marching band and we watch, pushing to get our front row view as the parade passes.
Oh darn, guess I missed that one; must have been updating my Facebook. Good thing I taped it.
P.S. Though I did not quote from him in writing this piece, I thought of the work of Marshall McLuhan who authored “The Medium is the Message” and who like Orwell, Huxley and others before him were prophetic visionaries when you look at the times we live in. If interested, check out the book.
You may find the concepts he espoused nearly 50 years ago more relevant than ever.

The Role of an Effective County Supervisor
The job of a Lake County Supervisor is not part time. Rather it is a role that encompasses a huge variety of duties and a colossal commitment of time on the part of the person willing to take it on. It takes an engaged and patient listener to all people and an understanding that it is not just about addressing the concerns of district constituents, but that of making decisions which affect the lives of all Lake County residents.
A Supervisor is one of five elected to the Board that acts as a governing body overseeing the operation of our county government. Therefore, one who chooses to apply for this role should have a general understanding of the workings of government and the budgets that drive each county department. I
The job of Supervisor requires a willingness to partner with County Department Heads to solve problems and to have an understanding of what each department can and cannot do. It takes a person who has the time, ability, and desire to address complex issues in order to be educated and adequately prepared at Board meetings. And it requires a willingness to work as a team with other supervisors for the greater good and not for personal gain or agenda.
The job of Supervisor in any district requires a full time commitment to being available and on top of the issues that affect not just one district, but all five. It takes a willingness to work with business and community groups toward improving the tools that support our people and drive our economy. It takes an open-minded listener to city council members and local officials in order to understand common needs and goals of our communities. It requires a broad understanding of issues that involve Law Enforcement, public safety, public services, healthcare, transportation, the environment, our lake, the homeless, our business economy, land use, watershed issues, our educational system, and so much more.
It takes someone with ‘life experience’ who understands the hardships and struggles that the majority of our Lake County residents face every day; having empathy and understanding of those who fight just to get by. It takes someone with a lot of time to give and who can admit to not having the answer but assist with finding out who does.
I’ve known Martin Scheel for many years and have watched him suffer through the loss of his business due to an accident 5 years ago, only to bounce back as an effective City Councilman and Mayor; a tireless community volunteer; and a huge advocate for our fire recovery victims and for re-building the business economy in our county.
Martin has formed valuable connections with county and state leaders in an effort to better the future of Lake County. He has an impressive understanding of the workings of government and the issues affecting not only district 4, but all of us in Lake County. I’ve personally watched Martin prepare himself for the role of Supervisor for a very long time. He doesn’t make vague promises or offer gimmicks but offers realistic ideas and common sense plans to face the challenges ahead of us.
I would encourage voters to consider each candidate’s ability to add the rigorous demands of being an effective supervisor to their existing roles and responsibilities. The residents of District 4 deserve a candidate who can fill the role, and not just the position.

Democrats solving problems?
According to Judicial Watch “In Indiana the Obama DOJ opposed federally mandated efforts to clean up the voters list despite publicly available information showing that voter registration roles in 12 Indiana Counties exceeded 100% of the total number of residents, of voter age, in those counties.” “In Florida the Justice Dept filed a lawsuit in 2012 to stop the states effort to comply with the National Voters Right Act by removing 53k registered voters who were dead as well as 2,700 non citizens.” So when you say you cannot sway an election, when you control 12 Counties due to fraud you bet you can. Otherwise the Obama Admin is complicit in voter fraud! They state even where voter fraud is detected, successful prosecution remains unlikely under this Admin. So vote often and again. So what is it, clean things up, or voter fraud? Better yet, clean things up at the DOJ. This is nothing but fraud at the highest level.
What it boils down to is this, does the rule of law prevail in the USA or are Dems above the law?
It’s the Dems tearing down the Constitution of the USA, let alone the moral fabric of the USA. Think about that when you vote. Are you going to put up with Dem lies? Or are you going to stay home and elect lies, fraud, lawlessness, and abuse of justice.
Do you know 7.5 million people are registered to vote in 2 different states.
And there are people on voter rolls who are over 110 years old.
Best friends of ours live in Washington 5 months of the year and in Florida 7 months, they vote in Florida where their vote might count. Wish I could do that because in California my vote hasn’t counted since Ronald Reagan, almost like why vote at all. Just like Oregon where I was born and raised, one Dem County, out of the whole rest of the state, determines the Dems win which is typical of the whole left coast, the Liberal cities win and the rest of us (USA) lose. Why won’t Dems or Rep’s campaign on the left coast, a waste of time except for campaign donations. You Dems would vote for HRC even if she was under criminal indictment! (i.e. Party politics, circle the wagons, and the hell with the law.) So who is deplorable? And HRC should be under indictment. A level of corruption never, and I mean never, seen before.
And remember Acorn? People went to jail over their voter fraud scheme. Don’t believe the polls, there has never been an election in which both candidates are hated and that cannot be factored in because it has never happened before.
Question is, do we have enough good citizens to restore the Rule of Law to the USA?
