One for the road as Knights close successful season

The Kelseyville High School varsity volleyball team went down swinging in a 25-23, 25-14, 25-19 quarterfinal-round playoff loss to St. Joseph Notre Dame of Alameda on Saturday at Head-Royce High School in Oakland. Kelseyville coach Donelle McCallister called the Knights’ performance their best of the season despite the three-set loss. “The numbers don’t tell the story with us …” McCallister said. The Knights posted a 25-6 record in 2016, including a 14-0 record in the North Central League I standings, the second straight year they’ve gone undefeatedin league play.
