A new multi-use sports field has opened at Hammond Avenue Park in Nice. The park is operated by the Lake County Public Services Department. In addition to the sports field, new additions at the park include a restroom facility, bleachers and parking. The facility was recently dedicated by District 3 Supervisor Jim Steele. Public Services Director Lars Ewing said the county is “delighted” to open the professionally designed sports field, adding it will provide a venue for physical activity and community building.
