Kelseyville High School running back Dwayne Yiggins needed one rushing yard Saturday night against Arcata in the opening round of the North Coast Section Division V playoffs to reach 1,000 for the season. The senior got that yard and 114 more as the Knights crushed the Tigers 51-6 at Kelseyville High School. Yiggins took over the county rushing lead in the process and now has 1,114. He is the second Lake County player to reach 1,000 yards this season, joining Lower Lake’s Nick Sani (1,081). Kelseyville (8-3) returns to action this Saturday night against Middletown (7-3) in the quarterfinals. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Bill Foltmer Field in Middletown.
