UPPER LAKE >> The Upper Lake Women’s Protective Club is counting on the generosity of local people in its effort to support the Upper Lake Community Food Project. The club will be collecting non-perishable food this holiday season to be distributed to families in Lake County. In exchange for food, the club will be offering free high quality wrapping paper and supplies as a special bonus. If you would like to make a donation and receive free gift wrapping paper, please drop off food at the Upper Lake Library, 310 Second Street in Upper Lake. Please, no expired or past dated food.
The Upper Lake Community Food Project distributes food on the third Tuesday of each month on the porch of the Odd Fellow’s Hall in downtown Upper Lake. For information or to volunteer contact Claudine Pedroncelli at 275-9030.

The library is a branch of the Lake County Library and is open Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5 pm, and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Your food donation will be accepted during these open library hours.
