People waited outside Bruno’s Shop Smart in Lakeport for over an hour on Tuesday to receive free chickens and hams for their Thanksgiving dinners. Donated by Bruno’s, Ronnie Cruz — former Clear Lake High and NFL running back and Lakeport bail bondsman — family and friends handed out the food to a few dozen Lake County residents, some of whom drove from the other side of the lake.
