FRESNO >> Travis Boyles and Taylor Boyles of the Punishers Wrestling Club of Lower Lake made a strong impression during the Fall Brawl tournament last weekend in Fresno.

Travis Boyles competed in the 53-pound division for third- and fourth-graders and pinned all three of his opponents. One of his wins came against a multiple-time state champion and a national team member. As a result, Travis was named the outstanding wrestler in his age group.

Taylor Boyles finished second in his age group with a 2-2 record that featured two pins.

Two weeks ago at the Jr. MidCals in Gilroy, Travis Boyles came in first to secure a spot on the SCWAY (State of California Wrestling Alliance for Youth) national team. He will travel to Oregon this weekend to compete.

Other members of the Punishers Wrestling Club are off to Folsom on Sunday to compete in a tournament.
