Christmas bazaar today
First Lutheran Church in Lucerne at 3863 Country Club Drive invites all to their annual Christmas bazaar and Luncheon.
The event takes place today, Dec. 3 from 9;30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Luncheon served from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Luncheon is $6 per person. There will be lots of crafts, white elephant and a bake sale
Unitarians offer religious exploration for children
The Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County has announced their new Religious Exploration program for children. Beginning Sunday, Dec. 4, two classes will be offered that explore various religious traditions. Unitarian Universalist values of love, acceptance, self-expression, social justice and the worth of all will be a part of the curricula. Classes for younger children (PreK to Junior High) will be based on popular children’s books. For older youth (Jr. High through High School) the emphasis will be on “Qualities of a Justice Maker,” which will emphasize leadership skills and how young people can engage in social justice work.
Families who are in search of non-judgmental religious education for their children are encouraged to attend. The classes will take place during the regular service of the UUCLC. Parents are invited to attend the service which starts at 11 am at the church, located at 3810 Main Street in Kelseyville.
Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religion with Jewish-Christian roots. It has no creed. Queen of Peace Christmas concert
The Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 14435 Uhl Ave., Clearlake, hosts a Christmas concert featuring Doug Harman and Dan Couey of Santa Rosa.
The concert takes place Friday, Dec. 16, 6:00 p.m. — 7:30 p.m.
