LAKEPORT >> The deadline to apply for City of Lakeport Committees and Commissions has been extended to Monday, Dec. 12. Applications and more information is available on the City’s website under the Hot Topic, “Now Recruiting: 2017 Commission/ Committee Openings. The following Commission/Committee positions are available:
•Planning Commission — meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. One member may live outside the city limits but within the Lakeport zip code.
•Park and Recreation Commission meets on the first Thursday of each month at 3 p.m. at City Hall. Members must reside within the Lakeport city limits.
•Traffic Safety and Advisory Committee — meets once every other month on Mondays at 4 p.m. in the City Council Chamber. The City Council may appoint up to two members that live outside of the city limits.
•Lakeport Economic Development Advisory Committee (LEDAC). meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at City Hall. Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, shops or does business in the City of Lakeport.
