LOWER LAKE >> In collaboration with renowned Auston Design Group and acclaimed California artist Mike Gray, Shannon Ridge has finalized new packaging for their High Elevation Collection wine.

“We wanted a label that depicted the beauty and history of our Home Ranch, located in the High Valley AVA of Lake County. The new illustration reveals the unique mountain vineyard terroir and iconic Mount Konocti on Clearlake,” said Clay Shannon, President and CEO of Shannon Ridge Family of Wines.

Consisting of six estate and sustainably farmed wines, the High Elevation Collection line-up includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Wrangler Red, Sauvignon Blanc, Petite Sirah, and Zinfandel. The label created for the Wrangler Red is unique from the rest of the collection with the illustration honoring the spirit of the early 19th Century settlers that homesteaded on the ranch and planted the first vines. Some of those vines are still producing fruit today.

Priced in the $11-$15 category, the High Elevation Collection over-delivers on quality for the price. These are some of the few remaining wines in this price range that are Lake County Appellation and Estate Grown.

“The collaboration between our farming practices and winemaking style showcases our unique growing region,” said Joy Merrilees, Director of Winemaking and Production. “We strive to produce everyday wines that drink twice their price and create a great value.”
