SIR holds final tourney of year
Lake County SIRs had their last tournament of the year at Black Rock Golf Course. It was a four man 2 best ball and scramble with 9 hole of each format. It was a beautiful day for golf as the weather was great. The group had a fantastic Thanksgiving turkey lunch.
The winners were 1st place Mike Yamashita, Ken Hommer, Dick Matson, &Jim Spero; 2nd place Paul Peterson, Bill Helt, Bill Lyon, & Gary Schurdell; 3rd place Don Fehr, Walt Neumann, Bill Surber, & Ed Brooks; 4th place Bob Chesnut, John Jones, Jim Cary, & Dennis Day.
Closest to the pins were Jim Spero 1’ 4” & Bill Craig 2’ 6” on holes 5 & 14, and Ken Hommer 4’ 6” & Paul Peterson 6’ 1/2” on holes 7 & 16.
Widowed persons holiday party today
Widowed persons association are having a Christmas party today, December 10, at noon. All widows and widowers are invited! This year the group is having the lunch at Kococti Vista Casino.
